Bachelor of Social Work
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is an undergraduate academic degree program that focuses on the study of human behavior, social environments, and social welfare policies. It equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote social change, enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, and advocate for social justice. The BSW curriculum typically includes coursework in social work practice, research methods, policy analysis, human behavior and the social environment, diversity and oppression, and field education. Graduates of BSW programs are prepared to enter the workforce as generalist practitioners in a variety of settings, including child welfare agencies, schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, and community organizations. They may also choose to pursue further education by pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
