SCM is focused on optimizing overall efficiency, reducing costs, improving quality, and enhancing customer satisfaction by effectively managing the flow of goods, services, and information throughout the entire supply chain. It involves strategic decision-making at the highest level, as well as daily operational execution in order to meet business objectives and respond to changing market conditions. Ultimately, SCM is about creating value for all stakeholders, from suppliers to customers, by aligning resources and capabilities with market opportunities and delivering superior performance.
