Project Evaluation
Definition of Project Evaluation as it relates to Business, Financial Management, Commodities Trading
Private equity refers to a type of investment strategy that involves acquiring and managing private companies, or buying out public companies to delist them from stock exchanges. Investors in private equity aim to generate returns by improving the operations and financial management of these companies, as well as through commodities trading and other financial instruments. The ultimate goal is to sell the companies at a profit, typically within a few years. Private equity firms often raise capital from institutional investors, such as pension funds and endowments, and may also use debt financing to fund their acquisitions.
