Spark Plugs
Spark plugs are crucial components in internal combustion engines, igniting the fuel-air mixture within the cylinders to power the vehicle. They consist of a central electrode surrounded by a ceramic insulator and a metal shell. The spark plug is installed in the engine's cylinder head and connected to the ignition system. When the ignition coil sends a high voltage electrical current through the spark plug, it creates a spark that jumps across a small gap between the electrode and the grounded part of the plug, igniting the fuel-air mixture. This process repeats many times per minute while the engine is running, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. Spark plugs play an essential role in the automotive industry and are commonly found in gasoline engines for passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other vehicles.
