Exhaust Systems are an essential component of automotive vehicles, responsible for efficiently expelling exhaust gases away from the engine and out of the vehicle. These systems consist of several components such as the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, muffler, resonator, tailpipe, and oxygen sensors. The exhaust manifold collects exhaust gases from multiple cylinders and directs them into a single pipe, while the catalytic converter reduces harmful emissions by converting toxic gases into less harmful ones. The muffler, also known as a silencer, is designed to reduce engine noise by absorbing sound waves and canceling out some of the noise. The resonator further enhances the noise reduction process. Finally, the tailpipe expels exhaust gases from the vehicle. Exhaust Systems play a crucial role in maintaining the performance and efficiency of the engine while also ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
