Fog Lights
Definition of Fog Lights as it relates to Automotive, Automotive Lighting, Automotive Headlights
Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) are an automotive lighting feature designed to enhance the visibility of a vehicle during daylight hours. They are typically integrated into the front-facing headlights or fog lights and emit a low to moderate level of light, sufficient to make the vehicle more conspicuous to other road users without causing glare. DRLs automatically activate when the engine is started and remain on until the vehicle is turned off or the headlight switch is manually adjusted. This safety feature is particularly beneficial in reducing accidents caused by poor visibility, especially in inclement weather conditions or during twilight hours.
