Automotive Suspension refers to the system of tires, tire air, springs, shock absorbers and linkages that connects a vehicle to its wheels and allows relative motion between the two. Its purpose is to provide stability with good handling and ride quality as well as to keep the car's body at a constant height. This system helps in smoothing out bumps and vibrations from road surfaces, supporting the weight of the vehicle, absorbing shocks, maintaining correct wheel alignment, enabling proper steering, and ensuring safe braking. In essence, it is responsible for keeping the tires in contact with the road to provide control and stability to the vehicle.
