Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is an automotive safety system designed to enhance vehicle stability and prevent skidding or loss of control, particularly during sudden turns or slippery road conditions. It achieves this by using various sensors, such as wheel speed sensors, steering angle sensors, and yaw rate sensors, to detect deviations from the intended driving path. Based on these inputs, the ESC system selectively applies individual brakes and adjusts engine torque to help stabilize the vehicle and maintain its intended course, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and promoting safer driving.
