American Art

Definition of American Art as it relates to Art, Impressionism, Abstract Expressionism

Fine Arts encompasses the creation and study of visual works that are primarily intended to be appreciated for their beauty, emotional power, and cultural significance. It includes various forms such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and more recently, digital art. Impressionism, a style that emerged in the late 19th century, is characterized by loose brush strokes, emphasis on accurate depiction of light and color, and an overall interest in capturing the sensory effect of a scene. Abstract Art, on the other hand, breaks away from traditional representation, using colors, shapes, and forms to create unique compositions that often evoke emotion or convey conceptual ideas. All these forms fall under the broader category of Art, which is a human endeavor that involves creative or imaginative talent expressed through mediums such as visual arts, performing arts, literature, music, and so on.
