Environment Design

Definition of Environment Design as it relates to Art, Digital Art, Motion Graphics

Raster Art refers to a digital art form characterized by its use of pixels as the smallest unit of measurement, arranged in a grid format to create an image. This technique is often used in creating logos, where fine details and gradients are necessary. Raster Art is distinguished from vector art, which uses mathematical equations to define shapes and lines, allowing for infinite scalability without loss of quality. In contrast, raster images become pixelated when enlarged beyond their original resolution, making them less suitable for certain applications such as large-scale printing or animation. Despite this limitation, Raster Art remains a popular choice among artists and designers due to its versatility in creating realistic textures, shading, and color gradients that can add depth and visual interest to digital creations.
