Computational Linguistics
Computational Linguistics is a branch of artificial intelligence and linguistics concerned with the computational modeling of natural language, particularly for understanding, generation, and translation. It combines insights from computer science, cognitive psychology, mathematics, philosophy, and linguistics to create models that can process and produce human-like language. In this hierarchy, Computational Linguistics is closely related to Deep Learning as it leverages neural network architectures and statistical methods for natural language processing tasks such as part-of-speech tagging, parsing, semantic role labeling, and machine translation. By integrating with Expert Systems, it further enables the development of intelligent systems that can reason, learn, and communicate effectively with humans, thereby driving innovation in Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
