Neural Network Architectures
Neural Network Architectures encompasses various designs and configurations of artificial neural networks, each with unique characteristics and strengths for different tasks. In the context of Recurrent Neural Networks, it refers to specific arrangements of recurrent connections that allow for processing sequential data, handling temporal dependencies, and modeling complex dynamics. These architectures may include, but are not limited to, Elman Networks, Jordan Networks, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, Gated Recurrent Units (GRU), and Echo State Networks (ESN). Each of these architectures has its unique properties, such as LSTM's ability to selectively forget or remember information, GRU's simplified structure with fewer parameters, and ESN's sparsely connected hidden layer. Together, they enable a wide range of applications like speech recognition, natural language processing, time-series prediction, and more.
