Hemimetabolous

Hemimetabolous insects undergo incomplete metamorphosis, in which they hatch from eggs as nymphs and gradually develop into adults through a series of molts. Unlike holometabolous insects, hemimetabolous insects do not have a distinct pupal stage. Nymphs typically resemble miniature versions of the adult and undergo gradual changes in body structure and habits as they grow.
