Hellenistic Age

The Hellenistic Age refers to the period of time following the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC and lasting until the Roman conquest of Egypt in 31 BC. It was characterized by the spread of Greek culture and influence throughout the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East, resulting in the blending of Greek, Persian, Egyptian, and other cultures. This era saw the rise of powerful kingdoms such as the Ptolemaic Kingdom in Egypt and the Seleucid Empire in the Near East, as well as advancements in art, science, and philosophy. The Hellenistic Age marked a significant shift in the political and cultural landscape of the ancient world.
