Hardware Accelerators
Hardware accelerators are specialized hardware components designed to perform specific tasks or functions more efficiently than a general-purpose CPU. These accelerators offload compute-intensive tasks such as graphics rendering, machine learning, encryption/decryption, and video processing from the CPU, resulting in improved performance and reduced power consumption. Hardware accelerators can come in the form of GPUs (Graphics Processing Units), FPGAs (Field-Programmable Gate Arrays), ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits), and TPUs (Tensor Processing Units), among others.
