Greek Columns

Greek Columns refer to the architectural elements used in ancient Greek buildings, characterized by their tall, slender proportions and decorative details. There are three main types of Greek columns: Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. Doric columns are simple and sturdy, with a plain capital and no base. Ionic columns have scroll-shaped capitals and a base, giving them a more elegant appearance. Corinthian columns are the most ornate, featuring intricate acanthus leaf decorations on the capital. These columns were used to support the entablature and roof of Greek temples and other structures, contributing to the grandeur and beauty of ancient Greek architecture.
