Government Taxation
Government taxation refers to the process by which a government levies taxes on individuals, businesses, and other entities within its jurisdiction in order to generate revenue for public services and programs. Taxes can take many forms, such as income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, and tariffs. The government uses tax revenue to fund infrastructure projects, social welfare programs, national defense, and other essential functions of the state. Taxation is a key tool for policymakers to regulate the economy, redistribute wealth, and promote social equity.
