Godwits

Godwits are a group of long-billed, long-legged shorebirds belonging to the genus Limosa. They are known for their impressive migratory journeys, often traveling thousands of miles between their breeding and wintering grounds. Godwits are typically found in coastal wetlands and mudflats, where they forage for small invertebrates such as worms, crustaceans, and insects. These birds are renowned for their striking plumage, with many species exhibiting a combination of browns, whites, and grays. Godwits are highly social birds, often forming large flocks during migration and on their wintering grounds.
