Gnostic Christianity
Gnostic Christianity refers to a set of ancient religious beliefs and practices that emphasize the importance of spiritual knowledge (gnosis) in achieving salvation. Followers of Gnostic Christianity believe that this hidden knowledge, often obtained through personal revelation or mystical experiences, is essential for understanding the true nature of the divine and the universe. Gnostic Christians often view the material world as flawed or corrupt, and seek to transcend it through spiritual enlightenment and connection with the divine. Central themes in Gnostic Christianity include the existence of a supreme, unknowable God, the role of intermediary beings known as aeons, and the belief in a divine spark or essence within each individual that can be awakened through esoteric teachings.
