Geological Storage
Geological storage refers to the practice of storing substances such as carbon dioxide, natural gas, or nuclear waste deep underground in geological formations such as depleted oil and gas reservoirs, saline aquifers, or unmineable coal seams. This method is used to safely and securely contain these substances to prevent their release into the atmosphere or surrounding environment.
