Flowstone Formations
Flowstone formations are created in caves by the slow accumulation of mineral deposits, typically calcium carbonate, that precipitate out of dripping water. These formations can take on a variety of shapes and textures, including smooth sheets, rippling waves, and intricate stalactites and stalagmites. Flowstone formations are often found in conjunction with other cave formations, such as soda straws and draperies, and can create stunning displays of natural beauty underground.
