Fiddler Crabs

Fiddler crabs are small, semi-terrestrial crustaceans belonging to the genus Uca. They are characterized by their asymmetrical claws, with one being much larger than the other. Fiddler crabs are commonly found in intertidal mudflats, salt marshes, and mangrove swamps, where they feed on detritus and algae. These colorful crabs are known for their distinctive waving displays, which are used for communication and courtship.
