Extragalactic Astronomy
Extragalactic astronomy is the branch of astronomy that focuses on the study of objects and phenomena located beyond our own Milky Way galaxy. This includes the observation and analysis of galaxies, galaxy clusters, superclusters, and other structures on a cosmic scale. Extragalactic astronomers study the formation, evolution, and interactions of these extragalactic objects, as well as the large-scale structure of the universe. By studying extragalactic phenomena, scientists can gain insights into the history and dynamics of the universe as a whole.
