Exposure Compensation

Exposure compensation refers to the technique used in photography to adjust the exposure settings on a camera in order to achieve the desired brightness or darkness of an image. This adjustment is typically made by changing the aperture, shutter speed, or ISO settings to compensate for lighting conditions that may cause the camera's automatic exposure metering system to underexpose or overexpose the image. Exposure compensation allows photographers to have more control over the final look of their photos by fine-tuning the exposure levels to suit their creative vision.
