Existential Atheism
Existential atheism is a philosophical belief system which posits that life lacks inherent meaning or purpose, and that there is no higher power or deity guiding human existence. It emphasizes individual freedom, personal responsibility, and the importance of creating one's own meaning and values in a world devoid of supernatural influence. Existential atheists reject the idea of an afterlife or divine plan, instead focusing on the present moment and the choices individuals make in shaping their own destinies. This worldview often leads to an emphasis on living authentically, embracing uncertainty, and finding fulfillment through personal growth and self-discovery.
