Ellora Caves
The Ellora Caves are a complex of rock-cut temples located in Maharashtra, India. These caves are known for their stunning architecture and intricate carvings, showcasing a mix of Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist religious influences. The Ellora Caves date back to the 6th and 9th centuries AD and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The caves consist of 34 structures, including monasteries, temples, and chapels, all carved out of solid rock. The most famous cave is Cave 16, also known as the Kailasa Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is the largest monolithic structure in the world.
