Eastern wolves

Eastern wolves, also known as Algonquin wolves or deer wolves, are a subspecies of gray wolves native to eastern North America. They are typically smaller and more lightly colored than their western counterparts, with coats ranging from gray to reddish-brown. Eastern wolves primarily feed on deer, but also prey on small mammals and birds. They are known for their elusive nature and strong pack bonds, often communicating through howls and body language. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and hunting, efforts are being made to protect and conserve these unique predators.
