Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly
The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly is a large and brightly colored butterfly species found in North America. It has yellow wings with black stripes and blue and orange spots near the edges. The males have additional black stripes on their hindwings, while the females can have either yellow or black coloring. These butterflies are commonly seen in gardens and forests, where they feed on nectar from flowers. They go through a complete metamorphosis, starting as eggs laid on host plants, then hatching into caterpillars, forming chrysalises, and finally emerging as beautiful butterflies.
