Eastern Orthodox Beliefs
Eastern Orthodox beliefs refer to the core doctrines and teachings upheld by the Eastern Orthodox Church, one of the oldest Christian traditions in the world. These beliefs include the belief in the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), the authority of the Nicene Creed, the importance of the sacraments, the veneration of saints and icons, the significance of tradition and the teachings of the early Church fathers, and the concept of theosis (the process of becoming more like God). Central to Eastern Orthodox beliefs is the emphasis on the mystery of faith and the unity of the Church as the Body of Christ.
