Door Frame

A door frame is a structure that surrounds and supports a door, consisting of vertical side pieces called door jambs, a horizontal piece at the top called the header, and sometimes a horizontal piece at the bottom called the threshold. The door frame serves to hold the door in place, provide stability, and facilitate smooth opening and closing of the door. It may be made of wood, metal, or other materials, and is typically installed within a wall opening during construction or renovation.
