Discus Throwing
Discus throwing is a track and field event in which athletes compete to throw a heavy circular object called a discus as far as possible. The discus is typically made of metal, wood, or plastic and is thrown from a designated circle within a throwing area. Athletes must use a spinning motion to generate speed and power before releasing the discus, aiming to achieve the greatest distance possible. Scoring is based on the distance the discus travels after hitting the ground, with the farthest throw winning the competition.
