Deontological
Deontological ethics is a normative ethical theory that judges the morality of an action based on the action's adherence to a rule or rules. This approach to ethics focuses on the inherent rightness or wrongness of actions themselves, rather than the consequences of those actions. Deontological ethics emphasizes duty, obligation, and the importance of following moral principles, regardless of the outcomes. Prominent deontological philosophers include Immanuel Kant, who argued for the importance of universal moral principles, and W.D. Ross, who developed the theory of prima facie duties.
