Dadaism Art Movement

Dadaism, an art movement originating in Zurich during World War I, was a reaction to the rationalization and mechanization of society and warfare. It rejected logic, reason, and aesthetic beauty, instead embracing chaos, irrationality, and nonsense. Dadaists expressed their disillusionment through various mediums such as poetry, collages, and performances, often incorporating found objects and text to create unexpected juxtapositions. The movement aimed to challenge conventional notions of art and question the very nature of reality, paving the way for Surrealism and other avant-garde movements in the 20th century.
