The Aztec Civilization refers to the indigenous Mesoamerican people who established a powerful empire in the central region of modern-day Mexico from the 14th to the 16th centuries. Known for their advanced agricultural practices, intricate city planning, complex social structure, and impressive artistic and architectural achievements, the Aztecs were also renowned for their religious beliefs, which included elaborate ceremonies and human sacrifices. The Aztec Civilization was ultimately conquered by Spanish conquistadors led by Hernán Cortés in the early 16th century.
