Cricket Stumps
Cricket stumps are wooden structures consisting of three vertical posts, known as the stumps, topped by two bails. They are used in the sport of cricket to form the wicket, which is the target for the bowler to hit in order to dismiss the batsman. The stumps are typically made of ash wood and are set into the ground at each end of the pitch, with the bails resting on top of the stumps. When the bails are knocked off the stumps by the ball, the batsman is considered to be out.
