Cricket Ball

A cricket ball is a hard, cork and string-wrapped leather ball used in the sport of cricket. It typically weighs between 5.5 and 5.75 ounces (155.9 and 163 grams) and has a circumference between 8.81 and 9 inches (22.4 and 22.9 cm). The ball is traditionally red in color, although white balls are used in some limited-overs formats of the game. The cricket ball is bowled by the bowler towards the batsman, with the objective being to dismiss the batsman by hitting the stumps or inducing a catch by the fielding team.
