Cooperative Hunting
Cooperative hunting refers to a behavior exhibited by certain animal species where individuals work together in groups to capture prey. This strategy involves coordination, communication, and division of labor among group members to increase the efficiency and success of hunting efforts. By collaborating and pooling resources, these animals are able to overcome the challenges of capturing elusive or large prey, leading to a higher likelihood of a successful hunt. This behavior is commonly observed in social carnivores such as wolves, lions, and hyenas, as well as certain birds of prey like Harris's hawks and African wild dogs.
