Convergent Boundary

A convergent boundary is a tectonic plate boundary where two lithospheric plates are moving towards each other. This movement can result in the plates colliding and being forced upwards to form mountain ranges, or one plate being forced beneath the other in a process known as subduction. This collision can also lead to the formation of deep ocean trenches, volcanic activity, and intense seismic activity.
