Commersons Dolphin
The Commerson's dolphin, also known as the skunk dolphin, is a small species of dolphin found in the waters of the southern hemisphere. It is easily recognizable by its striking black and white coloration, with a black back and tail, white belly, and distinct black markings on its face resembling a mask. These dolphins are known for their playful and curious behavior, often approaching boats and surfacing to breathe in a series of short, rapid breaths. They are skilled swimmers, capable of leaping high out of the water and performing acrobatic flips and spins. Commerson's dolphins primarily feed on fish and squid, using echolocation to locate their prey. They are social animals, typically found in small groups or pods, and are known to communicate through a series of clicks, whistles, and body language.
