Colonial Social Structures
The social structures that existed within colonies during the period of colonialism, typically characterized by hierarchical systems based on race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. These structures often placed colonizers at the top of the social hierarchy, with indigenous populations and enslaved peoples occupying lower positions.
