Cocoa Beans

Cocoa beans are the dried and fully fermented seeds of the cacao tree, native to the deep tropical regions of Central and South America. These beans are the primary ingredient in chocolate production and are known for their rich, slightly bitter flavor. Cocoa beans are harvested from cacao pods, which are large, colorful fruits that grow directly from the trunk of the cacao tree. The beans are removed from the pods, dried, and then roasted to develop their characteristic chocolate taste.
