Classical Theatre
Classical Theatre refers to the dramatic performances and plays that were written and performed in ancient Greece and Rome. These theatrical productions often focused on themes of tragedy, comedy, and epic storytelling, and were performed in outdoor amphitheaters using masks, elaborate costumes, and stylized movements. Classical Theatre plays were typically written in verse and featured a chorus, with actors playing multiple roles. The works of playwrights such as Sophocles, Euripides, and Aristophanes are considered to be some of the most significant contributions to Classical Theatre.
