Classical Deism

Classical Deism is a philosophical belief system that originated in the 17th and 18th centuries. It posits that a supreme being, often referred to as the "Divine Watchmaker," created the universe and established natural laws to govern it. This deity is seen as distant and not directly involved in human affairs, instead allowing the world to operate according to these predetermined laws. Adherents of Classical Deism typically reject organized religion and emphasize reason, observation, and rationality in understanding the world and one's place in it.
