Christian Eastern Orthodoxy
Christian Eastern Orthodoxy is a branch of Christianity that traces its origins back to the early church fathers and the apostles. It is characterized by its adherence to traditional liturgical practices, sacraments, and teachings that have been passed down through the centuries. Eastern Orthodox Christians emphasize the importance of icons, the authority of the seven ecumenical councils, and the belief in theosis, or the process of becoming more like God. The Eastern Orthodox Church is separate from the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant denominations, with its own hierarchy and distinct theological perspectives.
