Charity in Islam
Charity in Islam refers to the act of giving to those in need as a religious duty and moral obligation. It is considered one of the Five Pillars of Islam, emphasizing the importance of helping the less fortunate and promoting social justice. Muslims are encouraged to give a portion of their wealth to those in need, whether through Zakat (obligatory almsgiving) or Sadaqah (voluntary charity). Giving charity is believed to purify one's wealth and soul, strengthen community ties, and earn blessings from Allah.
