Champagne Corks

Champagne corks are the stoppers used to seal bottles of champagne and other sparkling wines. Typically made of cork or plastic, they are designed to fit snugly into the neck of the bottle to preserve the carbonation and flavor of the wine. Champagne corks are often secured in place by a wire cage, known as a muselet, which is twisted over the cork to prevent it from popping off under pressure. Removing a champagne cork is a celebratory moment, often accompanied by a satisfying pop sound.
