Catecholamines
Catecholamines are a group of neurotransmitters and hormones that are derived from the amino acid tyrosine. They include dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, and play important roles in regulating mood, stress response, and the fight or flight response. These chemicals are produced in the adrenal glands and certain areas of the brain, and are involved in controlling heart rate, blood pressure, and metabolism. Imbalances in catecholamine levels have been linked to various mental health disorders and cardiovascular conditions.
