Catalytic Converter

A catalytic converter is a device used in vehicle exhaust systems to convert harmful pollutants, such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, into less harmful substances through a chemical reaction. It contains a catalyst, usually made of platinum, palladium, and rhodium, that facilitates the conversion of these pollutants into carbon dioxide, water vapor, and nitrogen gas. This helps reduce the emissions of harmful pollutants released into the atmosphere from vehicle exhaust.
