Captain America
Captain America is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 in March 1941. Captain America is the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a frail young man who was enhanced to the peak of human physicality by an experimental serum in order to aid the United States government's efforts during World War II. He is known for his iconic red, white, and blue costume featuring a star-spangled shield that he uses as a defensive weapon. Captain America is often portrayed as a symbol of patriotism, justice, and the American spirit, fighting against evil and tyranny both on Earth and beyond.
