Califates
Califates are Islamic states or territories ruled by a supreme religious and political leader known as a caliph. The caliph is considered the successor to the Prophet Muhammad and is believed to have both spiritual and temporal authority over the Muslim community. Throughout history, various caliphates have emerged, including the Umayyad Caliphate, the Abbasid Caliphate, and the Ottoman Caliphate. These states played a significant role in shaping the political and cultural landscape of the Muslim world.
